Pre-surgery...Allie had a horrible cold and had been vomiting the day before...I was a little apprehensive about her actually going through with the surgery. She had an awful cough...although you can't tell in this photo!!

Allie did not like the pre-op preparation....and we did not like the hospital gown. We actually had to ask for directions on how to put it on...I still don't think we got it!

I was very impressed with the hospital though...Just moving to Utah - I had no reference of this hospital. I was pleased to find out it's in the top 5 children's hospital's in the US!!

Daddy kept an ever watchful eye on Allie as we were waiting...It made my heart fill with pride...
Allie was in toy heaven!!

The next thing I knew - the doctor and anesthesiologist came out to talk to us and she was off. Her surgery only actually took about 10 minutes. We literally sat in the waiting room for about 15 minutes when the doctor came out to tell us she was all done! We walked back to the recovery area and our poor little Allie was happy as a clam as she sucked down her apple juice! The nurse was a bit worried at the amount of juice and the rate at which she was downing it, so we swapped to a Popsicle! Allie had no protests! I was so worried because she had thrown up her dinner from the night before and had no fluids since...but she was just fine...

And she got to watch a little Chuggington while we were there.

All in all - an easy surgery and I was surprised to find out how much her ear infections were hindering her from hearing. I'm so glad we've finally got this over and done and hopefully we won't have to do this again and she'll grow out of it.
