Trick or Treating

Oh how we...or shall I say...I have been waiting for this day!! We picked out Allie's costume some time ago....well...SHE picked it out! I decided to put her costume on a little early so she could get used to having the accessories...

She enjoyed modeling the costume for me while saying, "Cheese!" These were taken with my iPhone...

I love this face!!!

I eventually brought out the real camera to document the rest of the evening...

This is Allie saying, "I'm a FAIRY PRINCESS!"
We took off to walk around the neighborhood around 6:30ish and right out of the gate...Allie wasn't sure she wanted to go. She yelled out "TAKE ME!" while we were in the driveway. That is Allie's way of saying, "Carry me."

So we made it to our first neighbor - Allie's very FIRST stop EVER!! It took her a bit to say Trick or Treat...but once she realized that they give you candy...she was ALL about the trick or treating!! She was quite the polite fairy princess saying, "Thank You" to each neighbor!

We had initially planned on heading over to my boss's house to trick or treat with their family, but since Allie's surgery is tomorrow, we decided to stay close to home. So...Allie did the trick or treating solo...which looks kinda lonely...but she had fun nonetheless.

I think these are actually kinda sweet!!

By the end of the night...Allie was a pro at trick or treating. She would knock on the door herself and yell out, "TRICK OR TREATING!!" Sometimes she would even say, "Hello neighbor!" and "Have a Happy Halloween!" It was so stinkin' cute!!

We only ended up going to a handful of houses because it got dark quicker than I was prepared for (Allie's little midget legs can only go so fast!) and she quickly realized that she could EAT the candy in her bucket!!

So she quickly picked out a Reese's Pumpkin and off we went to the house!

I would say a successful first trick or treat outing!!
