Zoo Day

My mom and stepfather flew in a week ago and Allie has been having a great time hanging out with them. With all that has been going on at work - they've all been confined to the house. I decided to take today off and treat them all to a day at the zoo.

We started out early and hit the zoo up first thing. It was awesome because the weather was in the mid 60's and NO ONE was there!

Allie has a fear of the carousel after Brad and Bana took her on the one at the mall. She doesn't like to sit on the horses or other animals for whatever reason. HOWEVER, IF you put Allie on a non animal, non moving carousel part....such as a chair....she LOVES the carousel!!

I rode with her on the first go around to see how she would react and each time we would go around and she would see my mom and Don...she would have to wave! She would yell out - "This is VERY fun!"

After we were finished...she had to go again! So I let Don ride with her! Look at that wave and smile!! :-)


By the time we were done - Allie was wiped out! She fell asleep on the way home and looked so tuckered out!! Check out her little belly hanging out of her shirt!


We had a fun day and I think it was a good way for Don to spend his last day with Allie! My mom, on the other hand, is going to stay until an undetermined date. We're thinking January or February...but with my mom...and Brad....who in the world knows how long she'll stay!!
