My big girl

When I started to ask other moms about potty training...everyone told me, when she's ready, she'll let you know. Allie has been so advanced with everything else, I thought for sure, she'd start potty training earlier. So I pushed...and would get frustrated. Even when my mom came to stay with us - she said, "I'll get her potty trained." And then SHE got frustrated!

I think this was Allie's way of saying, "On MY terms!"

She's been going to the potty now for a week...although we're still hit or miss (she won't use #2 in the potty consistently), we're at least making progress. Allie's daycare even told me yesterday that she woke up from her nap dry and asked to go use the potty all day! What's really weird is that she refuses to wear Pull Ups or as we call them "Big Girl Underwears" - she wants to continue to wear her diapers! We're not pushing it though - as long as she's going potty...we're happy! We've reduced the "pee-pee prize" to "poo-poo prize" since she is going pee pee so consistently...she was having way too much candy!!

I'm so proud of my little dumpling and can't believe that she's growing SOOOOOO fast!
