A day at the zoo

Saturday turned out to be a fantastically sunny and warm day. As we were getting out, we were trying to figure out how to best take advantage of this day. After we ran some errands and had lunch - we thought - why not go to the zoo? So to the zoo we went!

It was still a little too cold for some of the animals to be out, but Allie enjoyed all the treats that came along with the zoo visit - ice cream, lemonade, churros....and she also enjoyed the animals.

She's still a little too young to fully appreciate the animals - the tigers, the bears, the giraffes, but she did love the monkeys!! She also really enjoyed walking around like a big girl. She's starting to really despise her stroller - despite the hilly terrain of the park! She enjoyed walking alongside her daddy just as much as she enjoyed the animals!!

Allie also truly enjoyed the train that went around the park. She was unsure at first, but as we went around the park, she got more and more comfortable with waving bye bye to everyone we passed. She got pretty upset when we left the train...and on the way home, she kept muttering, "Bye Bye, Train!"

And by the end of our visit at the zoo - Allie was ready to go, go, go...on an adventure...wait - sorry - got the Cat in the Hat song stuck in my head. I got confused!


We had a pretty fun day and it was so nice to get outside and enjoy Salt Lake!!
