A day of Allie

I've been slacking with my camera these days. I've been substituting my ever so handy camera phone with the real thing simply out of laziness. I've been home all week with Allie, working from home, and I thought I would spend a day following her around with my camera.

Brad and I visited an Asian grocery story last night and we found some "kim" or "gim" which is sheets of dry seaweed that I love to eat. I grew up eating it with rice (kimbop or gimbop) and I thought I would let Allie try it out. She liked it....it was crunchy!

After lunch, Allie wanted to read a book. She can say, "Book!" and gets super excited when she sees any book. But she gets particularly excited when she sees THIS book because it's a sing-a-long book. She likes hearing us sing, "Miss Mary Mack Mack Mack."

Then she headed over to play on her slide. She LOVES her slide! She loves to climb on it, sit on it, watch tv on it, eat on it and of course, slide down it! Whenever she slides down, she says, "WEEEE!"
(A little TV watching while on the slide!)
Then it was back to the book!

Then she wanted to play with Violet. Violet was a birthday gift from aunt Jennifer (who will soon be Jennifer Gideon too....I know....it's weird!)

But quickly attention was diverted to this big black thing that mommy constantly had...
Frustration that I wouldn't let her play with it....
Time to go....."Uh-Oh" is what she says when she accidentally closes the door all the way and can't open it.
A louder "UH-OH!" which means, "MOM - OPEN THE DOOR!"
And then off to play with the cart that she helped daddy put together in the previous post! She's like a little bag lady going through the house collecting random things to put in her buggy! Books, balls, crayons....you name it....it's in there!
And finally a little TV. Yup - while we're in the apartment, I'm carrying on the tradition of letting her watch TV. Brad and I were both trying to work from home (a little more emphasis on the word TRY in my particular scenario) so we often let her watch TV to keep her quiet. Brad is always on the phone with clients!

And finally....the last picture of the day. My sweet Allie girl letting me know she's done and needs a nap!!
What a great day!
