Being the over-worrier lately...I didn't express my concerns with Brad...and as we were driving home tonight from the concert...he had the EXACT same concerns...BUT they were all a big waste of time because it was PERFECT!!
Brad formulated a brilliant plan of holding off on Allie's normal nap and putting her down later. She normally goes down around 11:30 and will nap for 2-3 hours. We managed to keep her up until about 1:30 at which time she looked at us and said, "I seepy. Go to bed." It was quite hilarious watching her struggle to stay awake!
She got up around 4:30 and we fed her and packed the car. We headed out toward the venue and wondered if this was going to be good...the weather was a bit scary, but most of it was northeast of the venue...
Check out the crazy clouds out the window versus what the sky looked like in the side view mirror!!

So we got to the USANA Amphitheater and we couldn't have asked for a better place to take Allie to her first concert. It was perfect! We pulled up a little piece of grass and parked it for the evening...

Allie was perfectly content playing around on our blanket. She likes to pull up the grass and then blow it off her hands!

Because the weather was pretty windy (although we did manage to avoid the rain) it became quite chilly! I wasn't expecting the cold weather and didn't bring a jacket or pants for Allie. We luckily did bring one her blankets and we managed to convince her to stay covered up and warm due to the gnats that would land on her legs. She would freak out when she saw them, so she stayed bundled up!!

All in all - it was a great evening! We'll be doing it again in a few weeks when we go see Tim McGraw!!!
