We started off the day by heading to the Aquarium. Our aquarium here is quite small - an activity that you can get through in less than an hour. We decided to take Bana and Allie over to see it to kill a few hours before heading out to the amusement park, Lagoon, with my company for its annual picnic.
These are just a few photos I stole from Bana's camera...
Allie enjoyed it thoroughly...even though we went beyond her normal her nap time!
Afterward, we went home and all of us except Brad took naps. We were in for a hot and sweaty afternoon at the Lagoon. We've been leading up to Lagoon Day saying, "We're going to eat lots of junk food too..." So first off after getting to the Lagoon...getting a bag of cotton candy!
When we tried to give Allie a pinch of the cotton candy, she looked at it and said, "I don't like it..." without even trying it! Somehow, Brad and Bana were able to get her to try it and then her attitude suddenly changed from "I don't like it" to...."MORE!"
Every time she caught a glimpse of her stamp throughout the day, she would look up at us and say, "I don't like it." She's been using that phrase quite a bit lately!! Even with dressing her in outfits and shoes now...if she doesn't like...she'll tell you! Already...?!
Since Allie is so little and I am such a worry wart...Allie only rode two things...the train and the carousel. The train was quite nice because there were animals on the train ride - lions, tigers, ostriches, etc....she loved it. And look at how stylish she was... :-)
In order to cool off, Allie played in the fountains a bit. She didn't care for the water shooting out of the ground, but she LOVED the water coming out of the walls!!
All in all, it was a great, but HOT day! We had to leave a little earlier than planned as I ended up getting sick...on the train no less!!! Which caused me to start having contractions - but it was so fun to watch Allie and Bana enjoy their time at the amusement park...
Haley does with the same thing with new foods. We have to basically force her to eat something and then she gets all excited and says "I like it!". Allie is getting so grown up. I hope the rest of your week goes well. Rest as much as you can!!
