Daddy's gone

Brad has decided to leave us...for work that is! He has been putting off the inevitable visit back to his home office in Georgia ever since we moved out to Salt Lake. He managed to hold off until now.

I have had growing anxiety over it because I will have Allie by myself...which normally wouldn't bother me...but I'm 30 weeks pregnant and it makes getting around with an "almost two year old" very difficult. Not to mention the increased Braxton Hicks contractions I've been having lately.

But nevertheless, we dropped him off at the airport yesterday and Allie wasn't quite so happy about him leaving. She was so upset that she woke up in the middle of the night asking for Daddy. So around midnight, I ended up bringing her into bed with me...since I forgot how big our bed is with just one person in it! When I woke up, I was pushed to the edge of my side of the bed with Allie nuzzled in next to me...with miles of bed left on the other side of her. That's Allie at the VERY bottom of the photo!!!


But all has been well on Day 1 of being a single parent for the week. When we got home from the airport yesterday, we did a little painting! Bana and Daddy bought Allie these awesome and fun little painting with water books...and she really thinks she's painting. It's not as messy and keeps her occupied!!
