I need to paint...

Lately, Allie's requests have turned in to NEEDS...

"I need to walk."
"I need milk."
"I need this toy."
"I need Tella." (Nutella)
"I need chap stick."

Wow....

This evening, it was, "I need to paint." So we let her paint. We bought her this Dora book over the weekend with actual paint. She refuses to go back to the water paint now...she "needs" the actual paint now...



She is getting quite good at the "Cheese" lately as long as A) She's in the mood for her picture to be taken and B) There's no flash involved!!

I've dubbed Allie's little personality "sayings" as "Allie-isms. To give you an idea of how her personality is shaping up...these are a few things she's said to me...

As I was having an involved conversation with Brad in the car one day, she yells out, "Mommy! Mellow Out!"

She was trying to shut the door one day and typically says, "Excuse me." This particular day she yells out, "Watch Out, Mommy."

As we were playing downstairs one day, Allie says, "I need chap stick." I replied, "I don't have any. It's upstairs." Her reply was simple: "Go get it."

She woke up the other morning and as she was laying down in her crib, she told me, "Go check my wallet." What?!
