Dickens Christmas Festival

Brad has really gotten into the Christmas spirit this year and it makes me smile! He has scoped out all the activities in the valley and has something planned for us almost each day this week! Tonight was a visit to the Utah State Fairgrounds to the Dickens (like Charles Dickens) Christmas festival, which is chalked full of period folk dressed up and speaking with lovely accents, vendors and just a bunch of stuff.

Our friend, Tiea, decided to join us - Allie always enjoys having Tiea go places with us!!

She and Tiea found a sword...and the sword ended up coming home with us, courtesy of Bana! All of these photos are also courtesy of Bana...

We found a PRINCESS!!
There were free horse drawn carriage rides...but Allie was totally NOT interested!! She enthusiastically said, "NO!" when asked if she wanted to go for a ride!
We, of course, had to go and partake in as much junk food as possible!! While we ate, we were serenaded by young children on stage singing. Allie LOVED the "show" as she calls it!

Allie had a BLAST with all the "Christmas Stuff"...

Bana even found some purses and picked out a pretty pink one...when Allie immediately found a purple one instead...so that is the one we ended up with! Thank you, Bana!!

We had a great time - despite the cold weather! Allie still wasn't interested in meeting Santa...so we didn't push it. I'm sure we'll eventually get our Santa picture!!
