Very low key Valentine's Day...so low key, that I didn't get Brad anything...but after I found out what he got me...it was a good thing because he spent enough for both of us - accidentally!
We were killing time at a book store one day when I jokingly said, "you should get me a photography magazine subscription for Valentine's Day." That's exactly what he did - except he got a subscription from a European photography magazine for 92 GBP...uh - 92 British Pounds! That's like...$150.00! He said sorry, but the damage was already done. I can't say much - he did it for me because he loves me and wanted me to have the best!
Allie on the other hand - didn't get anything either. Her nursery is quickly getting crowded with more and more crap...it is useful crap, but in the end, it is a lot of stuff! I had to resist the urge to buy her a lot of huge stuffed animals. I have a feeling that will be one of the harder things for me to do as a mother and a woman...look past the stuffed animals and not buy them...because they really serve no purpose other than taking up space. Allie already has a handful of hand me downs from me, including a HUGE teddy bear, a Carebear and the last stuffed animal I got for Valentine's Day...so needless to say - we are going to wait until the special day actually means something to her!
I managed to take pictures this go around of Allie stuffing her face with cereal. She is such a good little eater and I love watching her eat! She was watching me eat an apple the other day and reached for it. I let her gnaw on it a little while then tried to take it away from her. Wow - she had a monster grip on my hand and started fussing as soon as I took it away! Now, anytime you eat around her, she reaches for your food! So now, when you come to the Gideon house to eat, there's an audience of Kitty, Lando and now Allie! I'll try to snap a picture soon...it's quite hilarious!
Check out how Allie has already learned to grab that spoon!!!
