Today was Allie's well baby visit to the pediatrician where she got her second set of immunizations. I was looking more forward to seeing how much she'd grown. The last visit to the doctor was back in January when she had a cold. Nearly a month later, she has gained 2 lbs for a whopping 16 lbs and 6 oz. She has also grown 2 inches coming in at 25 inches. So that makes her 95th percentile for her weight and 75th percentile in height. Everyone kept asking me, "Is your husband tall?" "Nope," I replied, "Maybe the milkman is, though." HAHA...it's a joke - neither of us are tall - but tall does run on my mom's side of the family.
Allie's well baby visit was awesome although she does have eczema on her cheeks, the sides of her head and under her chin. The PA confirmed that her bottom gums are swelling and she will probably have a few teeth coming out very soon. But all in all - Allie is progressing beautifully! Her visits to the doctor are getting more pleasant as well - she even threw out some smiles and laughs to the nurses...until they brought the shots. I am proud of the fact that she only cried while they gave her the shots - as soon as they were over, she quit crying!!
My mom said she was a little fussy today, but other than that - she's been a pretty darn good baby!

ReplyDeleteHydrocortisone cream twice a day - the over the counter stuff - we bought the Walgreens brand and it seems to already be doing the trick!
