After 11 hours - we're still in Salt Lake!!

Just a quick note - Allie had her first "school program" at daycare yesterday and I have to get the video and pictures up. It was a little crazy and she didn't do much singing - neither did her other classmates, but it was cute nonetheless - so I will get that up soon!

In the mean time.....

Today was the day we were flying home to Tennessee! I've been waiting to go back home to visit because A) I'm homesick and miss my mommy and B) I really can't wait to bring Allie back to her extended family. I enjoy watching how happy SHE makes my mom, Keith and Tip. So - I've been looking forward to this trip for some time now. I even packed early - so there was minimal packing and rushing around last night!

We got to the airport this morning with plenty of time...only to find out our 8:30 am flight was delayed to 11:30 due to the severe storms in the mid and south east. The storms had grounded a lot of flights for Delta and even other airlines were requesting Delta help them out due to their shortage of planes.

So we waited. Luckily - Allie was behaving wonderfully and Brad had brought...and then bought more crayons and coloring items...


At 11:30, we actually made it onto the airplane and Allie was enjoying some Wiggles when the flight attendant announced that something was wrong with the hydraulic system and we had to de-board the plane.



So - off the plane we went....we were delayed again until 2:30. 2:30 came and went....we were slowly being delayed an hour at a time.

We did manage to find a little playground where Brad attempted to play with Allie. He had taken his Xanex prior to boarding our flight at 11:30 and he was quickly fading!!

We made it until about 5:30 when we decided to call it quits for the day and rebook for tomorrow. I was so impressed that Allie did so well......until we got into the car.

I suppose she just had a breakdown and decided she was too exhausted, but she whined and cried until she fell asleep in an "angry" position!
