Ever since I can remember...Allie has been a super "jumpy" baby - which is what my mom calls it when Allie gets scared to death. When she was a few months old...I could be rocking her and sneeze...she would jump and then cry. My mom could be standing close by and cough...she would jump and then cry. Someone could start talking in a silent room and she would jump and then cry. My friend Kelly was holding her in church one day during praise and worship...and the church has a full band - Kelly sneezed, Allie jumped and then started crying! If something startled her, her reaction would be...to cry. Yeah - she was a scare-dy cat...but...the prime word now is...WAS!
She still gets startled, but instead of crying she giggles her little head off!
So, in honor of her graduating from her "jumpy" stage, I thought I'd use the term Jumpy Allie in a different way!
Here is Allie today in her jumper....in my crazy obsessed feats of making baby food, Brad did the dishes for me. Since we wanted Allie close by, we set her jumper up while we were busy in the kitchen. She still doesn't have a good idea of what it's for yet.....jumping or swinging, but she seems to like the mirror most of all!
