There seems to be a common practice with babies learning to eat solids - give them a bunch of spaghetti noodles in their highchair and watch them make a mess. I'm sure we'll eventually get there, but we've been a little hesitant to give Allie any tomato based foods yet. Instead, we thought we would let Allie have her hand at just the noodles. I didn't think she'd be able to eat them, but she managed just fine! Even slurping the noodles into her little mouth! One thing that I don't know that I'll ever get tired of is watching her try and learn new things. From the time she started noticing her hands to recently discovering she can mimic us - I am loving every minute of it. Becoming a parent has opened my eyes to so many new things that I never would have anticipated - no one and no literature can ever prepare you for the feeling of being a parent - and I love being a mom!
