Another Busy Weekend

I'm not quite sure where I'm going to find the time to clean out the boxes in our basement and put things away, clean out the spare room upstairs that will become Allie's new room (we're moving the little sister into her current room and I certainly don't know when I'm going to find time to go through all of Allie's stuff to determine what stays for baby sister and what goes into her new room (toys, clothes, etc.) but I'm going to eventually have to do it!

This weekend went by so fast, my head is still spinning! We started off Saturday with our new schedule of swimming at 9:45. Allie loves to go to the pool, but doesn't want to actually learn anything! She didn't really kick her feet, she didn't really want to hold on to the wall and she didn't want to blow bubbles in the pool. She just wanted to play! She did get to go down the slide at the pool (which is in about 3 inches of water, but is pretty high! I didn't get photos this week - maybe next week.

Then we headed north to Kaysville for a bbq at a friend's house. Allie was able to play with her friend, Zoey, that is about 7 - and she LOVES Zoey and her mom Amy! Amy came over Thursday night (we had a jewelry trunk show to attend) and Allie wouldn't quit talking about, "Amy, amy, amy." She even looked at me and said, "Amy fun!!" Oh dear!

Sunday we spent most of the day shopping - and then cooking. I had to prepare for my monthly meal swap at church. 40 chicken breasts and 12 chicken enchilada casseroles - done in the matter of one Sunday afternoon! Brad and Allie spent the whole afternoon playing together while I stayed in the kitchen. The sounds of her squealing with laughter followed by Brad's laughter will forever be ingrained in my head and memory! There's no sweeter sound!

From time to time this weekend, I did manage to hang out with Allie....after I noticed her being super quiet. That always worries me...luckily - she just found a new place to play and watch television....under the bar stools!

Next weekend will be just as busy - the Utah Arts Festival will be in town and we'll be going to that. Last weekend we bought tickets to see Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw in the next few months. Allie's first concerts...not too shabby!
