So - since I was feeling so well and the SLC downtown farmer's market opened today - I wanted to make our way down to check it out!
But only after we went to our first official swim lessons at the Murray Rec Center. We signed Allie up for Aquatots to get her used to being in the water. I must say that it helped tremendously getting her in the pool at Nana and Pappaw's during our visit. I am happy to report that she was NOT the kid who continuously cried during the session! She was quite content. This lesson was just focused on getting the babies used to being in the water, so we didn't do a whole lot of anything except play in the water for 45 minutes....Allie had a blast! Look at that face!!

Immediately afterward, we headed downtown to check out the Farmer's Market and Art Festival that - starting today - will go on each Saturday! I was pleasantly surprised although there wasn't as much produce as I was expecting...I guess for SLC - it's still a bit early.
After we walked around, we decided to get lunch and cop a squat in the grassy, shady area of the park...it was a perfect day for a picnic!
We bought a cinnamon roll for dessert and it had yummy raisins in it. After Allie had her fix of the roll - she wanted to eat the leftover raisins...she kept shoving them in her mouth one after the other, so we had to start checking to make sure she was chewing and swallowing them one at a time.
This is her showing me one that was going in to her mouth...

This is her showing me that she ate it...

And this is her turning from raisins to candied almonds! She had a blast!

And wore herself out...this is about 10 minutes in the car ride home!!

Can't wait to do it again next week. Hopefully we'll be able to meet up with some friends for a picnic lunch and the weather will be nice again!!
I love SALT LAKE!!
