Today's post is for Josh, my younger brother.
My mom and I headed to Athens yesterday to buy some new flowers. The only place we know to go had NO selection whatsoever.
Last night, Brad and I headed to Hobby Lobby to try my hand at silk flower arranging.
I love trying new things, especially when I have no boundaries...I hate it though, when I try something new and my mom is involved. I love my mom more than anything in this world (Brad and Allie, exception, of course!), but I have a hard time in my eyes, being good enough for her. I started putting the arrangement together after she went to sleep and was afraid of her reaction when she got up this morning.
Luckily, relief set in as she said, "I was shocked!" That was all I needed! Of course, she HAD to go out and buy a few more flowers to give it "a little more color." Oh well...
She was happy, I was pleased and my brother's resting place was well prepared for spring.
I'll do a few things differently next time around, but all things considered...
And I'll do one for my dad too...I didn't want to get ahead of myself.
