I called in a mental health day today...or otherwise known as a short notice vacation request!
I got out of the shower this morning at 3:30 am (Thursdays is one of my early days in to work!) and I heard, what I thought was the TV on...that's weird - why would the TV be on? Upon closer inspection - it was Allie wailing at the top of her lungs!! I rushed out in hopes that Brad had not woken up....too late. Brad was already in her room changing the diaper and consoling his baby. As I was thinking, how sweet - he turns and looks at me and says, "What did you do?" "Uh - what do you mean, what did I do?" I replied. "You had to have done something to her to wake her up before you got in the shower..." I turned on my heels and walked out.
Anyhow - she wasn't going back to sleep that easily, so I decided just to stay home today!
We went shopping....for.....surprise, surprise - Allie!!!!!!! I managed to only buy her a few outfits today!!!
But it WAS so nice to spend a day home with baby!
Tee-hee! She has so inherited the ability to wear her emotions on her face, just like me and her Mammaw!!
