Day 194 - It worked

So, totally hate to admit this, but the change in routine worked. Not only was my mom right in the routine change, but also the "talking Allie into a good mood when she goes to sleep."

I put Allie down and she looked at me, looked around and started crying hysterically. When I went to her crib, she stopped crying and started smiling - I'm assuming she thought I was going to pick her up. I walked away again and she started crying again! A few more times of that cycle and my mom walks in. She doesn't pick Allie up, but she starts talking to Allie telling her that it's time to go to bed. I rolled my eyes, but as my mom was talking to Allie, it seemed to calm her down and we quietly walked out of the nursery. About 10 minutes later, I peeked in to check on her and she was quietly playing with her stuffed animal. 10 minutes after that, she was out cold. What the....?

After I went to bed and woke up in the middle of the night to consult the video monitor, she had not moved from her sleeping spot / position. When I woke up this morning, Allie was STILL in her same sleeping position! She hadn't rolled over, kicked the covers off, nothin'!

Geez - it is true that the older YOU get, the smarter your parents become!!

My mom tried giving Allie avocado today - I remember from the McWorkshop that I attended, the family that we went to photography during Amber's lifestyle session, the mother was a nutritionist and was feeding her baby avocado. My mom said she peed her pants laughing so hard at Allie's dislike! The first bite - Allie was excited about the new food. After she started chewing it, she made the yuck face! The second bite, Allie gagged a bit. The third bite, she made another yuck face with the gag. The next bite, she yelled in disgust and refused any more!! HAHA! To date, she hates peas and avocados....loves carrots, sweet potatoes, squash and green beans. She definitely has a personality of her own...and that might be dangerous!!

Tonight, I managed to snag a picture of Brad reading to Allie. I love watching and listening to Brad read to Allie, because he doesn't really read the book, he "explains" things in the book to her. For instance, the book had a picture of a dog wearing a hat. He explained that the dog was like Lando, but Lando doesn't wear a hat. Not because he can't wear a hat, but just that he doesn't wear one!

I just love these two with all my heart and soul!
