Day 89 - Allie is definitely my daughter!

Not that I had any doubt that she wasn't, but her personality is coming out so strong!

Allie will absolutely let you know when she is not happy...not by crying, but by some other means - such as facial expressions or a quick scream of unhappiness. She is quite funny. My mom told me that she was trying to play Paddy cake (or is it patty, pattie) and Allie was not having it. She would jerk her arm back out of my mom's hands as if to say, "NO" or "UH-UH" and when my mom would try again, she would get the same jerking movement except it would be accompanied by a scream!

She is slowly getting over her first cold. I have found that I can't stand the slobber / spit, but I have no problem with the snot! I love suctioning out the snot and boogers from her nose. Today she was giving me this face while I was cleaning her nose out - her eyes would get really big and she started to cry...and I started to wonder if I'm sucking out her eyeballs through her nostrils...or maybe her brain...can you suction the snot too much?!

I come home every day from work and I get this funny little smile from her and it makes me forget about the day! She has started to "talk" or coo more and more each day. When I go for the video camera...she stops... One day - I'll catch it and post it. It will make your insides smile.

So I leave you with an image if what I look at every morning before I leave. It makes it so hard to leave every morning but it makes me rush home as soon as humanly possible!
