Day 57 - Holiday gathering

I have been waiting for today for a while...it was the first day that I was able to go and see New Moon! I wanted to go the first day it was out in theaters - Kelly had an extra ticket, but I didn't have anyone to watch Allie (it was on a Friday morning!) So Brad was kind enough to go with me today...even though I think he secretly wanted to see it too! It was everything I hoped!!! I can't wait to see the next one!!! This was the first time we've been to the movies since Allie was born...heck - I think since my mom moved in with us...which was at least a month before Allie was born!! And we're movie folks - we LOVE going to the movies and used to go quite frequently. It was nice to go and blow $30+ again on the movie experience. When did movies become so expensive? I remember when movie tickets were $5...Oh wow...I'm already turning into an old lady...I'm throwing out the "I remember whens." Since we've had Allie, we haven't spent much time with our friends, the Lannoms. Since Bona was here, we figured we could have them over for dinner and hanging out. We were thinking about baking Christmas cookies with Logan this year, since we weren't able to do anything for Halloween with him. Instead...Brad thought it would be fun to attempt a Gingerbread house.

It was fun to have them over - we played with Allie, played a little Wii and just hung out. We spent a lot of time talking to Allie. It was nice to be able to combine the "hanging out" with the baby time for the first time.
