Wendy posted an entry on her blog yesterday and I totally understood what she wrote, "I've blossomed from a terrified and insecure brand new mom to a confident yet clueless Mama! I still feel like I have no clue what I'm doing, but when I look at Sophia and see how happy and healthy she is, and when I look at Anthony and see the pride and love in his eyes, I know I'm doing something right! Life. Is. Good."
Wendy - you couldn't have said it better...I see how happy and healthy Allie is with her chunky cheeks and see how she makes Brad laugh...Brad has a laugh that only Allie can make him do...and I am in love all over again...
I look back 10 weeks ago and think what a crazy, awesome and terrifying journey it has been. I have embraced motherhood and am ready to show this little girl the world.
I left work a bit early today to get my tire repaired (somehow I attract random things into my tires...this time it was a screw), so I got home an hour early. It was early enough for me to have some good snuggle time with Allie. My mom passed her off to me and she headed upstairs for a nap...Allie and I also headed for a nap...and it was pure bliss for me. I love snuggling in our big bed with our tiny Allie...(in comparison!) Her hands are ALWAYS cold, so I love to put my arm over her and snuggle to warm her up. It was the best nap I've had in a week (since the last time I got to snuggle with her!)
It has taken a bit of adjusting for Miss Allie this week...the bottle, the schedule...everything!
Seriously - is it just because she's MY baby...or is she getting cuter and cuter?! She looks more like Brad everyday.
