Day 68 - New Bedtime?

Hehe - not for Allie, but for her mommy and daddy! Ever since I went back to work, I seem to be going to bed earlier and earlier! Last night - I could have gone to sleep right when I got home! It's sad.

I called my mom today (like I have ever since I came back to work) to check on Allie. She still hasn't been taking much via bottle, so I worry...wow - I think you may see that statement quite a bit throughout the next year...I worry... Anyway - when I called, mom put the phone up to Allie and when she heard my voice, mom said Allie's eyes lit up and she started laughing...Note to self: Do not call home and have mother tell you about how the sound of your voice makes your baby so happy that she laughs...it will make you want to go straight home and scoop your baby up!

Today I got home at a decent hour - As soon as 5:00 hit - I was out the door!!

As soon as I got home - Allie heard my voice and started smiling! I made my way over to her and she started talking to me immediately - telling me about her day...of course it was all baby code (coos and ahhhs) but it was an interesting story. I will soon get some video posted of her conversations. They are absolutely adorable!!!

After her bath tonight - Brad nodded off around 8:00 on the couch and Allie was wide awake...such a double edged sword: On the one hand, I want to stay up with Allie and soak up as much of her as I can. On the other hand - I'm exhausted and want to go to bed.

But as long as my girl is up - I will stay up too. I keep hearing they grow up so fast - so I want to trade in my sleep for me girl!
