I'm thinkin' the growth spurt is over - her feedings have slowly gone back to every 3 hours (Thank God!)
She has been super fussy the past few days. She's been staying awake after most of her feedings, but when we are ready to put her down for a nap - it's almost like she's fighting to stay awake. My mom and Brad think that her vision is starting to get clearer and she just wants to look around at everything. I do get excited when she decides to look around. You can have a conversation with her and she'll look right at you - almost acknowledging the story you're telling her. The other night, Brad had an in depth conversation with her about baseball and why the Yankees SUCK - but I don't think she cared too much.
I have lost almost all my baby weight - down to the last 10 lbs. I would like to lose more than those last 10 lbs and with the diet that Brad and my mom have me on - it won't be no time that I'll be a few sizes down. They are both convinced that Allie's fussiness is gas based due to my diet. So I've been reduced to eating soups and sandwiches...tonight I got to watch them both eat pizza...as I ate my soup. yea soup... I didn't realize that I would be restricting my diet so much...I had it better when I was pregnant!
So as promised...here are some pics since i have been slacking the past few days! I managed to get her smiling in her sleep...and she's just so cute when she smiles!!!
I love the smile pictures! I've really enjoyed your blog and it seems like you have loved becoming a mom. Allie is adorable and I'm so happy for y'all!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the feeding frenzy is over. (although it prob won't be the last one)
If the restriced diet helps you can start adding things back in one at a time to see if you can figure out what really bothers her.
Hope you get at least a little good sleep tonight! I know the days may be dragging by right now, but she'll be bigger and sleeping better soon enough!
