Day 271 - One last day...

...of my first extended weekend without my mom. As much as I miss her, I have really enjoyed testing out the mommy role!

We did quite a bit today around the house...again!

During Allie's nap, I did a bit more baby food cooking. I am ADDICTED to cooking Allie's baby food. I don't know why, but I LOVE IT! I'm embarrassed to say, but until today, I've never bought or cooked butternut squash. Until today, I couldn't have told you what it looked like. Turns out - I LOVE butternut squash almost as much as love to cook it for Allie! I cooked some sweet potatoes too as she is starting to run low. I didn't put it in the food processor this time - I just mashed it up with a bit of her pre-made formula. We only use this pre-made formula for Allie's cereal and we just can't seem to use it all before the 48 hours after opening, so I thought I'd toss it into the mush!

It all began with this...
...then turned in to this...
...then became this...
...which went into this...
...which then went into this! Poor daycare baby still has runny eyes and a dripping nose!

Allie then decided to help me out with the laundry!

She spent most of the time chewing the socks rather than folding them, but it was still fun! Note the "daddy outfit" - she looked like a boy, so I had to put some red and pink socks on her so that people didn't assume she was a boy.

But, later we had an outfit change due to the excessive slobber and snot...the bib is courtesy of Aunt Jessica!

Then...another bib change....

And then this picture I love...it's a bit blurry as the moment was sporadic, but...is she laughing or crying?

I wish all my days could be like the past 3 - just home with the baby and Brad...it's been a great fourth of July weekend!!
