We'll get to the stressed out part a little later...
Brad and I were able to go out and have a little lunch today at McAlisters. It is so nice to be able to get out with him again...just like old times...although it feels weird to be out and about with no pregnant belly and no baby in tow...I feel like we're incomplete!
I sent Brad the 4 week old development article from Baby Center and it had a piece about playtime that read, "A play gym full of compelling toys to look at, swipe at, and listen to will give your baby practice with arm, hand, and finger coordination skills — and make lying down more interesting! You can even lie down on the floor next to your baby and join in the fun." So Brad immediately wanted to buy a gym set for her. We headed out to Buy Buy Baby...and 30 minutes and $160 later, we emerged with 2 packs of diapers, a gym and a new mobile. I gotta quit going to Buy Buy Baby...although I LOVE that place!
I didn't post any pics of the new toys because we didn't get the right batteries and wanted to take pics of Allie fully taking advantage of all the bells and whistles!
Now...getting to the stress part! My mom and I went to a fundraiser dinner hosted by the Korean Women's Group in Augusta. It was a dinner catered by a very good Korean restaurant out of Atlanta and a variety show of sorts...Korean traditional singing, dancing, karate demonstration, etc. Monica from the plant is part of the group and invited my mom and I out...me wanting to eat the Korean food forced my mom to go. She was reluctant to get out...but I made her! I wanted her to meet other Korean ladies in the area and really just get her out. She enjoyed it very much! We ended up sitting at a table of people that I work with! We were gone for about 3 hours...which meant that Brad was left at home with Allie!!! As soon as we left the fundraiser, I saw a voicemail from Brad. Rather than listening to the voicemail, I just called him back. He wanted us to pick him up some dinner...when I asked him how things were going, his response was, "Not good." She apparently had been crying ever since we left. She was hungry and wouldn't take the bottle of breastmilk...so a hungry baby doesn't stop crying until she is fed...at least mine doesn't...and poor Brad was stuck with a hungry baby that wouldn't take her bottle! As soon as I got home, I fed her and she shut right up! I think Brad has a few more gray hairs now...I told him it wasn't his fault and that there was nothing he could do. Poor Brad...he felt so helpless!
