I was worried about Allie being fussy, so I planned her feeding right before we left. We got to the office and for an hour, she was the most awesome baby in the world! She was happy and content and even gave some smiles out! It was awesome!
Then I headed out to the doctors with baby in tow - babies in those car seat thingies that you carry around - baby carriers? - they are heavy! So I towed me and the baby in the doctors and signed in - the receptionist was looking up my appointment and couldn't find it. "Are you a call in?" "Nope," I said - I scheduled this a while ago. The receptionist next to her, without even looking up from her computer or acknowledging that I was standing right there, muttered, "Her appointment was YESTERDAY." Uh - hello? I'M RIGHT HERE!!! "Sorry - I thought it was today..." What a bi...what? Oh - sorry - back to baby!
So, like I was saying - Allie was such a good baby today...and has been for the most part! I am super lucky that I have such a good baby!!!
In my past posts - I mentioned that Allie's motor skills are coming along. She's realized that she has a hand...only her left hand, and she is consciously trying to connect that hand with things. Like Mr. Ladybug and her mouth. I didn't have any pictures from today, but did manage to snag this video of her trying to get that hand in her mouth. At first I thought it was a good thing that she recognized her hand and that she can do things with it - now I'm worried that she's going to turn into a thumb sucker to soothe herself. I took the video after we put her down for her nap and instead of crying, this is what she did...
It took her a while - but she finally got it where she wanted it!!! I'm going to have to figure out how to break her of this!!!
