Day 300 - Mommy's learning too

While we were on vacation at the beach, Allie's cousin, Jules, was able to show us how she could brush her hair. Jennifer is a fantastic mother and teacher. I've always envied how she is able to interact with children with a learning capacity. She doesn't just do the baby talk, there's always something to learn for the baby or child when she opens her mouth. It's also a way for me to change my thinking and interactions with Allie...SO.....I thought - maybe I could teach Allie how to brush her hair. And I totally did! I would never have thought to do this, had Jennifer and Jules not taught me to do so! Here's the end result:

We're also learning how to say "more" in sign language, again, prompted from Jennifer and Jules...but this one is going to take more time! Allie just thinks I'm clapping!

Bana sent Allie a box of goodies yesterday, so we broke out one of the toys. It's a little mover and shaker toy and shakes and moves forward when you activate it. It plays a nice little song while it slowly and steadily inches forward. Allie was NOT happy with this toy. It scared her. I haven't figured out why yet, but it was HILARIOUS! I probably tortured Allie a little too much because it was so funny...and had to demonstrate again once Brad got home!

Tee-hee!
